The Practice

Breath Meditation    Meditation on the breath is a practice for stillness and relaxation – a way to deeply decompress and feel the emotional benefits of calmness. The health benefits people gain from this practice of meditation is widely known. This is the practice often recommended by doctors when they talk about meditation. It has even lowered blood pressure in many. It is the first practice taught at Mystic Cottage.

Universal Presence Meditation    This meditation is a way to deepen the sense of awakness or awareness of a universal feeling.  It is a way to go beyond the “closed horizon of the ego.”

This practice begins after the practice of the breath meditation – after the request of the student and the approval of the the teacher.  It never fails to benefit everyone’s path towards that place of awareness and “light’ - even for people who practice only a little bit.

Additional Practices    Additional skills and practices are taught, if you choose - after some skill and competence have been established with the first two practices.

You decide when to request the “next step” – if at all.
